Snakeland
Taking their name from a haunted, satanic grain mill outside of their hometown of Buffalo, NY, Snakeland brings the ruckus with huge sing-alongs and dueling guitars not unlike the sounds of Hot Water Music, the Gaslight Anthem, and Thin Lizzy. The group came together in Fall 2021 when, after some conversing at a cookout, guitarist Declan Ryan and Jimmy Collis decided they wanted to start a new punk rock band. Vocalist Tony Cashaw was brought on board immediately, with bassist Bill Holtz being pulled into the fray soon after. Hell, drummer Steve Layman even moved from Philly to join up. With personnel established, the band set out to write and record their debut album, PanAmerican!. The result is 10 tracks of kick-ass rock and roll with more hooks than a bait shop. Take note, here's your new favorite band.
